Banner for Zoe's Birthday Party

I made the banner for Zoe's birthday party last night. The blue and yellow polka dot papers are K & Company, the balloon paper is Basic Grey, Cupcake and the rainbow polka dot paper is by My Minds Eye- Whiteout Collection. I used my Cricut Storybook cartridge to cut the letters and Paperdolls cartridge for the clown.

Finally- the last day of school!

The last day of school has finally arrived. These are the teacher gifts I made for Noah's teachers. I either got the idea from Two Peas in a Bucket or from Cricut.com. I can't remember at this point. It's a combination of a few ideas I saw posted. I thought this one was the most practical. A lot of the gifts posted were really cute, but not very practical and I just pictured them getting thrown away in a few days. It doesn't matter if these get thrown away.. they're disposable gifts!



Now for the details. The plastic bags are just sandwich bags folded over. All of the paper used is DCWV Citrus Stack. The lemon cut is from the Life's a Beach Cricut cartridge. The scallop is a 2" punch and I used a Martha Stewart butterfly punch. The border punch is also Martha Stewart and the pinwheels are just made out of 4 " squares slit at the corners with alternate corners folded in. I stuck a straight pin through the middle and into a pencil eraser ( the pencil is the stick for the pinwheel) and covered the straight pin with the butterfly. Then I glittered them up with Stickles.

Banner for Noah's party

I've been working on a banner for Noah's party this weekend.  His birthday isn't until August, but I told him we could celebrate early this year so he could have his friends from school over.  It's kind of a end-of-year/birthday party!  He's only got 10 more school days left!

The banner is made from a Basic Grey scallop chipboard album covered with paper from Basic Grey's Cupcake line and We R Memory Keeper's White Out - Stash.  The letters are cut from Lego paper.  You can't see it in the photos, but the paper is textured like a lego.  

The Cricut cartridges used are" Accent Essentials for the jagged circles, Lyrical Letters- Jumbo for the letters and Doodlecharms for the birthday hat.

Bunny Pillowboxes

Krista Norman made the cutest Easter pillowboxes and then was kind enough to share the instructions with me. She used the Wedding Cricut cart and I don't have that one, so I found a template online for a pillowbox at Carolyn's Stamp Store and then made the bunny with the Doodlecharms cartridge per Krista's instructions. She used Design Studio to alter his ears to make them "floppy" and I followed suit because I thought the floppy ears were adorable! The box is filled with Easter M&M's and I made them for Noah, Zoe and my nieces and nephews. Very cute!!

Strawberry Favor Bag

One of my friends' daughter is having a "strawberry" birthday party. She is supposed to come over next week to make invitations. Today, I decided to try out my new Hello Kitty cartridge and made a cute little favor bag and added the strawberry cut from Hello Kitty. The tag and the bag are cut from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More.

Valentine Goodies

My nephew, Aidan, watched an episode of Caillou the other day about Valentine's Day. Caillou got a Valentine from his friend and Aidan got very excited and told his mother that he was going to get Valentines from his friends too. He is only 4 and doesn't go to school, so his mother told him he would get Valentines from grandparents and such, but he didn't have any friends. He started to cry.

The poor child is going to be traumatized. I made two cards from him, one from Zoe and one from Noah as well as a treat bag to put M&M's in. I plan to duplicate the treat bag for Noah's classmates.

2nd Entry for Contest at Bitten By the Bug

Same contest as my "Wild Thing" card. We were allowed two entries and here is my second.



The paper is K& Company- Urban Rhapsody. The stars and their shadows are cut from the George and Basic Shapes Cricut cartridge and "Groovy" and "Love" are cut from Storybook and welded with Design Studio.

Regina's Challenge

This is for a challenge going on on Regina's Bitten By the Bug. The challenge is to make a card primarily using the colors green, pink, yellow and blue. The card must have a star on it and must have at least one cut from a Cricut cartridge.

This is made using K & Company paper- Amy Butler, Belle and the Cricut Carts I used are: Alphalicious for the title, Accent Essentials cut 36 for the heart, and Paper Dolls, outfit 3 accessories 3 for the monster.

Paper Crafting projects
